Available now through my Etsy shop.

This is a very special project.

The face of this wooden lamp is hand carved from a piece of spalted maple. The housing of the lamp is hand crafted from quartersawn Oak. The back of the lamp is Black Walnut.

Traditional joinery techniques were used in the making of this lamp. The upper portion of the lamp is dovetailed, while a through mortise and tenon secure the housing to the base. The lamp has a nice, somewhat Japanese/Arts & Crafts feel when off. When switched on, the lamp displays a calming light perfect for yoga or meditation. I am quite proud of this lamp, and I am sure that it will make a beautiful addition to your home.

The lamp dimensions are: h: 14.5″ x w: 11″ x d: 5″

Comes with an approximately 85″ long cord and a small bulb.

For photographs of the lamp in progress, please visit my blog In Praise of Shadows, Lamp in Progress.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
